Hunter Hayes fond on his inner photo editor SnapSeed

Hunter Hayes
Hunter Hayes is something of an amateur shutterbug, so lately he's been enamored with the photo-editing app SnapSeed. "Every time I take a photo, it goes into SnapSeed," says the 21-year-old country singer, who was named the Teen Choice Awards' choice male country artist Sunday. "Even if it's just a price tag on something, it still goes into SnapSeed, and I start editing it. I'm not a photographer, so I need all the help I can get when it comes to make a picture look cool.

"It's a beginner's version of things you would do in a PhotoShop kind of world. It's got a selector that lets you select a color in the picture, then you can enlarge the circle around it and grab all the same colors in that circle in the picture. You can slip up and down and adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation. You can really doctor up a photo. They've also got a filter that's like a high dynamic range thing, where you can bring dark colors out and make them really pop.

Hayes' current single I Want Crazy tops the USA TODAY Country airplay chart, making it his third consecutive chart-topping country single, following Wanted and Somebody's Heartbreak. Last week, both I Want Crazy and Hayes' self-titled album received platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than a million copies each.
